La Fête de la Musique

When I first saw a poster at my church looking for singers for The Day of Music (Fête de la Musique) I wasn't even sure what it was, so I went to a friend and asked about it. She explained to me that in France there is a special day of music where much of France has festivals filled with different kinds of music and music venues.

I was intrigued, but what really hit me was when she said that the reason the church was looking to be involved was to shine the light of the gospel in a particular suburb of Paris that has almost no gospel presence.

Based on their goal and my love of music, I decided to join. I found out that they were going to be singing Gospel Music.

On the night of the performance, we were about the sixth group in our venue and it was exciting to see so many people out for the festival.

The leader introduced us as a group from a little church in the town there to invite people to come and hear more about Jesus.

Then we sang. We sang songs about Christ and His redemptive plan for the world.  Our group sang with passion to Christ. It truly was amazing.

This is exactly the type of people that we want as our partners.
